Question: How to check OHM, crank sensor?

 Rookie

My van having of intermitent dying and hard starting problems and not set any codes. What is the best way to check the crank sensor, ohm reading, and what reading should i look for?

    There are 2 commonly used ways to check a crank sensor. Ohm checking is good, go to Alldatadiy.com for the specs and test procedure. I use a labscope to look at the signal, because often times, there is noise or a bearkdown of the signal that an Ohm check may miss. I use a Snap-On Vantage to do this work. Maybe you can borrow 1 if you know a good tech.
