u-joints on the front end of my truck and having trouble on getting the u-joints off

    The drive shaft u-joints are "Spicer" type. Take the axle off and let an auto machine shop install the joints.
    if not properly installed can have detrimental effects. Autozone have some popular workshop manuals for free on line once you register (for free) on their website http://bit.ly/autozone_repair_info.
    and get an online repair manual subscription.
