My grandson needs a summary of replacing clutch slave cylinder on his 1997 Chevy S 10 pickup. He already has the part.

    There's a special tool you need to separate the hydraulic line from the slave cylinder. It tends to corrode together so you may need to replace the master cylinder and line too. Once the line is disconnected, remove the transmission and then remove the slave cylinder. Reverse the procedure to reassemble.
