My car has a bent valve due to an object hitting the timing
cover and throwing the timing off. I am not sure if it is an exhaust valve or an intake valve.

You need to have a shop pull the cylinder head to determine how much damage was caused by the valve hitting the piston and the estimate is basically the same as a headgasket replacement plus the valve or piston repair
