Are you getting fuel to the engine? How about spark to the plugs? Usually one of these are the issue. If you get both gas and spark check fuses both in car and under hood you my have one or more that is blown or missing. The pcm is probably not the blame of your car not starting if you had the battery disconnected even for a long time. It will usually start right up.
