2003 Volkswagen Passat Question: How much should it cost to replace the fuel pump

guy replace the radiator but in 2 weeks i had lost the coolant now he tells me that is normal, I have a old car and he said I need to fill it up when its low. Now he tells me I need a new fuel pump when my car shut down

    Needs pressure tested to find the coolant leak. Do you have any other choices for a shop to go to? Before you spend money on a fuel pump you need to know if the coolant loss issue is related to headgasket or other expensive problem , that may make replacing the fuel pump a waste of money.

    Thanks I will check into this. I need to find out how much more it will cost to get my car towed else where, I already paid this guy and i don't think he has the equipment to test.
