how much should it cost to remove/replace torque converter on 1997 Chevrolet Suburban 1500

Torque converter needs to be replaced or rebuilt. Bearing making a loud noise in higher gears. Problem is about two weeks old.

The book time is 6.6 hours plus there will be the trans fluid which will be about $75 and then the price of the converter, which can range from $100 to hundreds. It all depends on what you want. I recommend getting a factory GM part.
