2003 Nissan Frontier Question: how much it would cost to check the hoses on the vehicle

I just had a oil and filter change 3 days ago now the check engine soon light came on and will not go out. Got it hooked up to a computer at autozone and it said a small vacuum leak somewhere.How much will it cost?

    The best way to trace a vacuum leak is using a machine that puts an inert smoke into the intake manifold and then you see where the smoke is coming out if indeed it is a vacuum leak. A professional grade scan tool has a lot of other information captured in freeze frame showing fuel trim and Oxygen sensor information. A repair shop will charge an hour to an hour and a half labor time to start initial diagnosis which may fix the problem sooner and charge you less or need more time to do further work. It could be a leak or a defective air flow meter or O2 sensor.

    Common problem here is that when they check the air filter they do not get the tube on the resonator back right and this causes a leak that will set of the CEL. I fixed mine by matching a peice of PVC tube and putting it into the tube so it will not crush. Problem solved.
