Question: how much is it to replace the transmission with a rebuilt one?

I know I need the transmission fixed!

    most trans shops will start with about a 1200-1500 estimate. the add ons come when hard parts inside need to be replaced. they wont know till they tear it down.
    a factory unit runs about 3000 just for the part.
    i would plan on about 1500-1800 for this repair.
