1997 Hyundai Sonata Question: how much does it cost to replace a side mirror

The mirror assembly from Hyundai is $278.78. The labor to install should be maybe an hour. Probably right around $400 in your area all considered.
You may be able to find a used mirror also, if you try used parts sources near you.

Google search "car parts wrecking yards" you will get a list of individual wrecking yards. Some of the sites allow you to enter in the details of the type model and year of car you are looking for and then distributes your parts request to thousands of wrecking yards around the US so you don't have to make loads of calls to individual wrecking yards. Try to get one in the same body color as your if applicable.
