2002 Ford Escape Question: how much does it cost to repair and or replace an oil pump for 2002 ford escape

Why do you suspect a bad oil pump? If you waited too long before for an oil change, next change (or sooner if you choose) have a shop do an engine flush and oil change. May clean out everything you are experiencing. The burning smell may be from a gasket leaking oil and not related to the oil pump at all.
