Question: how much does it cost to rebuild the the heads on a 1997 f 150 v 8 engine

engine needs valve jobs and head gasket

    machine work for the heads run around 500-600.
    gasket set is about 150-175
    labor is about 18 hours.

    add about 500 for small stuff like fluid changes, plugs, coils etc.

    It is not cost effective to repair truck. Look for another vehicle. Sorry
