Question: how much does it cost to fix a flex plate?

my brother says that my transmission is ticking when i push on the gas and he says that its probably the flex plate

    To replace the flex plate the transmission needs to be removed, its a 7 hour operation and the flex plate seals and oils would be another $185 to $195.
