Daughter recently bought a used audi a6 quattro-283,000 miles. My husband says that the transmission "feels wrong" when accelerating immediately after taking it out of park. Could it be low on tranny fluid? Should we have the filter and tranny fluid changed or add something like Luca or Trickshift to it?
How much do you charge to check the transmission fluid level? on 1999 Audi A6 Quattro

is it a cvt trans or not?
I'm not really sure--It didn't come with an owners manual--I'm gonna strangle her soon though! How do I tell what kind it is? just found a "quick start" type of manual in the glove box--its a tiptronic
IS THE FLUID RED OR GREEN. YOU MAY HAVE JUST BOUGHT A CAR THAT NEEDS A TRANS. MY OPINION ON AUDI CARS IS THE ARE MONEY PITS AFTER THE 40K MILES RANGE
gonna have a friend check the color this weekend-hopefully it's not "serious"
GOOD LUCK I LOOKED IT UP FOR YOU ITS A CVT TRANS, IT DOESN'T REALLY SHIFT PER SAY. TRY HAVING IT SERVICED TO START WITH AND IF THATS NOT THE FIX YOU ARE IN FOR AN EXOENSIVE FIX. SORRY FOR THE BAD NEWS
