Question: How many miles for this service?

 Rookie

I just bought a used 2003 525i BMW with 56800 miles. I now have 62000 miles. Do I wait for sensors to alert me of the next service? I live in the desert area were it gets very hot and don't want to wait until some problem occurs. The service manual is very vague about service. The car runs great and I haven't had any problems. Just want to make sure problem dosen't occur.

    It should tell you when the car starts on the instrument cluster how many miles it is until an "inspection". Typically around 60k miles you get the Inspection II which includes engine air filter, micro filters, oil service and some other items.
