Question: how many hours labor to remove and replace 4l60e transmission

My transmission lost 3rd and 4th gear and I want to know actual time to change it

    Someone has to know the exact condition of your car to answer this question.
    The estimated time is about 8 hours. To rebuild the transmission is an additional 6 hours.
    This time applies if everything is in perfect, original condition, no rust, no modifications, etc... otherwise additional labor time will be added.

    The cause of the geer loss is the sun gear inside the transmission. i spent 1200 on rebuilding mine for a part that can be purchased for 40-60. the seal and gasket kit runs around 350.
