1992 BMW 325i Question: How does one replace the locking assembly on the steering column?

The key turns all the way and doesn't start the car and the steering lock isn't working. When turning the steering wheel, one can feel the locks rubbing

    It's best to have illustrated instructions. There is a company that independent auto repair shops get their information from, this same information is available inexpensively for people that work on their own cars.. The information is year make and model specific, covering repair procedures, torque specifications, fluid capacities and specifications, service bulletins, component locations, wiring diagrams ect....
