Question: how do you replace cam sychronizer and set the timing
Answer #1mastertech6371 April 26, 2011, 07:53Master
it has to be timed correctly. it is bolted in where the distributor used to be and also drives the oil pump drive rod. it is about 250 with the sensor. a tool comes with it to install it correctly.
i suggest you leave this job to a qualified tech so nothing goes wrong and you compound your problem.
thanks for using repairpal

not timing it correctly. make sure it goes in exactly as it comes out or the sync will be off causing driveability issues.
