2004 Nissan Titan Question: How do you remove dash to replace heater core

heater core is leaking

    Removal and Installation

    Remove lower instrument panel LH.
    Remove glove box assembly.
    Remove shift knob and A/T console finisher.
    Disconnect harness from bottom of A/T console finisher.
    Remove shift assembly.
    Disconnect harness and shift cable.
    Remove center console and disconnect harness.
    Remove cluster lid C and disconnect harness.
    Remove cluster lid D and disconnect harness.
    Remove display assembly and the audio unit.
    Remove combination meter cover.
    Remove cluster lid A and disconnect harness.
    Remove combination meter and disconnect harness.
    Remove lower knee protector LH.
    Remove defrost grille and disconnect optical sensor harness.
    Remove side ventilator assembly LH.
    Remove side ventilator assembly RH.
    Remove instrument panel.
    Remove passenger air bag nuts and remove air bag. Refer to Air Bag.
    Disconnect GPS antenna.
    Disconnect harnesses to instrument panel speakers LH and RH and remove speakers.
    Disconnect all remaining harnesses.
    Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

    REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION




    Cluster Lid C

    Pull cluster lid C towards rear of vehicle to release clips.
    Disconnect electrical connectors.
    Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

    CAUTION: When removing and installing, place shop cloths onto surrounding parts to protect A/T console finisher and center console from damage.




    Cluster Lid D

    Remove center console.
    Remove cluster lid C.
    Pull lid toward rear of vehicle to release clips, remove cluster lid D.
    Disconnect electrical connectors.
    Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

    CAUTION: When removing and installing, place shop cloths onto surrounding parts to protect A/T console finisher and center console from damage.

    Lower Driver Instrument Panel




    Remove screws using power tool, and remove lower driver instrument
    panel.

    Pull to disconnect clips.
    Disconnect harnesses from back of lower driver instrument panel.
    Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

    Combination Meter

    Remove the combination meter cover.



    Remove cluster lid A.
    Remove screws using power tool and remove the combination meter assembly.
    Disconnect electrical connectors.
    Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

    A/T Console Finisher




    Remove shift knob.
    Remove console mask.
    Pull up to release clips and remove A/T console finisher.
    Disconnect harnesses.
    Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

    Display Assembly and Audio Unit

    Remove audio unit.
    Remove display assembly.



    Instrument Passenger Lower Panel and Glove Box

    Remove screws, release clips and remove glove box assembly.
    Remove damper clip from glove box door and remove glove box door.
    Remove glove box pins from glove box door.
    Remove screws from glove box striker using power tool and remove striker.
    Remove fuse block cover.
    Remove screws and remove glove box damper from back of glove box housing.
    Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
