Accumulator and hose attachment is all one piece. One end detaches from hose attachment that mounts to compressor and the other end near firewall that looks to attach to condenser mounted under dash.

Question: How do you remove an A/C accumulator? Is there a special tool needed?

Journeymanyou'll need some a/c hose disconnect tools.Most parts stores sell them in a set of various sizes.I usuallu soak all of the attachment points with wd40 before I slide the tool in and wiggle back and forth until it is free.
