The ball I'm talking about is the one attached to the wiper blade motor, and the ball is the nylon (?) ball on the linkage that moves the splined wiper blade arms assemblies. It popped off trying to clear some snow off the windshield off, and I've popped it back on. However, when it's just wet now, the nylon socket pops off the ball again every time.
How do you get the wiper blade linkage off the motor to stay on the little ball? on 1994 Buick LeSabre

It sounds like the socket is damaged and needs to be replaced. They usually just snap on and fit tightly, if they pop of easily it is worn or damaged.Have you called the dealer to see how much a new linkage costs? There is a company that independent auto repair shops get their information from, this same information is available inexpensively for people that work on their own cars.. The information is year make and model specific, covering repair procedures, torque specifications, fluid capacities and specifications, service bulletins, component locations, wiring diagrams ect....
