Question: how do you get dummy light to go off service engine soon

just want to get dummy light off service engine soon there must be some trick to get light off thanks.scott

    have it scan tested for codes when they have the scanner hooked you clear the codes and the light will go out but if it has any codes in the light will likely come back on

    Thankyou for your reply i dont have a scanner just wondered about disconecting batt for 10min or so thanks

    if you disconnect the battery the light should go out but like I said before if its got a code the light will come back on good luck
