When you say dealer do you mean a GMC outlet or a used car lot. If it is a dealer they use top engine cleaner with a special piece of equipment. Spraying carb spray is not recommened. There is what is called throttle body cleaner, that is safe to use. Even with throttle body cleaner that will not get it clean like the specialized equipment will.

yes i took it to a new car dealer where i bought it new back in 2002. so i guess i gotta bite the bullet and pay them to do it again?. im just afraid its not the problem and dont have the money to waste. its running a little ruff and stalling when i put it in gear, if i idle it up a little it doesnt stall, it has power to spin tires, its got 156000 miles and dont wanna waste money on it if its something serious. so i will try the throttle body cleaner to see if it atleast helps, that will tell me if im on the right path. you got any other tips?

Go to this website and search out a shop that uses this product www.bgfindashop.com . Go to www.bgams.com and see how this product works. You don't need to take it to a dealer.
