2002 Toyota Camry Q&A

2002 Toyota Camry Question: How do I take the front rotors off?

I'm trying to replace the front rotors and they are stuck. Is there a process, a trick or are they still secured with bolts I can't see. The pads, caliper and caliper holders are off. I've tried hitting it hard with a rubber mallet but no luck. -

Here's a online guide to R & R the rotors http://bit.ly/aEqqm Maybe this will help -
Answer 2
Sounds like the rotors are just rusted to the hubs. You have done everything correct. There are no "secret bolts" just replaced a set today. -

Kaz121 is absolutely right, size of bolts is 8mm x 1.25 thread. -
Answer 3
there should be two threaded holes opposite each other that accept a screw bolt. Tighten the bolts in the holes a little at a time to back off the rotor. make sure you use the right size bolt and hardened steel.Tighten one bolt a little then the other. -
