youll need to remove the fuel tank-pump is located inside.

I had a very similar problem and stopped just short of changing the fuel pump. I looked at the key and realized it was not an original. Yep you guessed it! It wasn't the smartkey with the chip inside. I got an original and it started right up. I switched back to the extra key and nothing. My simple conclusion is that the smartkey enables the fuel pump. Lesson learned, always take the simplest approach first.
