It is a relatively simple process. On each side of the engine just below the valve covers there are independent coils for each cylinder that are held down by a single bolt. The wire harness on each coil has a connector at the coil that needs to be removed by pressing the release tab. After revoving the wire connector remove the bolt with a 10MM wrench. The coil assembly and spark plug boot will then slip out of the recess. To remove the spark plug I use an extended spark plug socket but a regular spark plug socket and extension would work. When reinstalling the spark plugs make sure to apply a thin coat of anti sieze to the threads of the spark plugs being careful not to get any on the electrodes. Reinstall the plugs, put a small amount of dielectric grease around the opening of the spark plug boot and slide the coil assembly back into place. Fasten the coil down with the bolt and slip the wire connector onto the coil. The rear spark plugs are more easily accessed if the plastic cover is removed from the intake before starting.
