FIRST, REMOVE THE FUEL PUMP FUSE UNDER THE HOOD OR CHECK YOUR OWNER'S MAN... FOR LOCATION. THEN REMOVE THE GAS CAP TO RELEASE THE PRESSURE AND PLACE SOMETHING INSIDE THE GAS OPENING. YOU COULD STICK A SCREW DRIVER INSIDE THE TANK IN ORDER TO KEEP THE LITTLE METAL TAB OPENED, (JUST BE CAREFUL) WHEN DOING SO. ITS BETTER TO CHANGE THE FUEL FILTER WITH VERY LITTLE GAS IN THE TANK 1/4 AND STILL REMEMBER YOUR WORKING WITH GAS. NEED MORE JUST ASK!!!

BERKE, START THE ENGINE FIRST, THEN PULL THE FUEL PUMP FUSE. THAT WILL ENSURE THAT THE PUMPS PRESSURE IS RELEASED. YOU WILL GET SOME FUEL TO RUN OUT OF THE LINES BUT THATS EXPECTED. ONCE YOU HAVE INSTALLED THE NEW PUMP, PLUG THE PUMP FUSE BACK IN. NEXT TURN THE IGNITION KEY TO THE ON POSITION THREE OR FOUR TIMES. THEN TRY TO START THE CAR. THAT WILL RE-ENGAGE THE FUEL PUMP. SORRY, I FORGOT TO SAY THAT. BY THE WAY, REMOVING THE FUSE MEANS YOU CAN CHANGE THE PUMP EVEN IF YOU HAVE A FULL TANK OF GAS!!!!
