how do i replace a starter on my 99 avalon on 1999 Toyota Avalon
I have always felt that if you are going to attempt to fix anything on your own vehicle and you have no background in the repair industry, sounds like you don't, then the best bet is to purchase a repair manual at the parts store for about 25-30 dollars and read up on the replacement to see what you are up against. We could tell you everything in great detail but not knowing your mechanical ability is going to likely lead to a bad outcome. By the way, how did you determine you have a bad starter and if you did then why not share that story, also.
