Question: how do i replace a slave cylinder in rear brakes

how do i repair a slave cylinder,I see brake fluid around the inside of the rear tire and the brake line is dry,and pedal is weak and keeps losing fluid every time i press on the brakes.

    I would suggest you remove the rear brake drum on the affected side. You will then be able to see where the fluid leak is. If the wheel cylinder is leaking - it's not called the "slave cylinder" - it should be replaced. If the brake shoes are wet with brake fluid they should be replaced also. Once the necessary parts have been replaced the brake system you will need to bleed any trapped air out of the hydraulic portion of the brake system.

    If its not called a slave cylinder (what is the name of the cylinder)?,I was told by a friend that what it was called,okay hes wrong,but ill need a name so i can order the part correctly,thanks for your help so far.Is it called a A rear wheel cylinder?,and roughly how much is a part like that cost?.Please help..Thank you.
