it started leaking on the floor board i have most of the dash out. Just trying to figure out do i need to take the steering columb apart so the dash can come out?

Masterunbolt the saddle bolts under the dash and let the column rest dowm on the seat. you should have enough room to move the rs of the dash to gain acess to the heater case.
