I am reading the comments regarding the blower motor/resistor on the Outlander. I have a 08 Outlander SE, the ac/heat/defrost will not blow on any setting. I heard a weird noise coming from the glove box area, almost like a high-pitched whistle with the ac on. This only occured once, and lasted maybe 10min. Two days later, Im driving and the ac just stops blowing... no hot air, NOTHING!

The resistor and blower motor can both be tested. From your description , it sounds like the bearings in the blower motor failed and it locked-up.
