2000 Ford Explorer Question: How do i get to the ABS sensor on the rearend after iee take the back cover off

    The sensor has a bracket and bolts on the top.

    does it connect to something inside the 3rd member i was told that it maybe the source of the clanking noise and the jerky motion of my left rear tire

    It reads the reluctor ring inside the pumpkin, and does not connect to anything but the top of the pumpkin.

    That was very good information and why are you asking about the ABS sensor. The sensor is not the cause of your problem. If the wheel is jerky it could be at the wheel side or in the pumpkin. Like stated it needs to be looked at to be sure where the problem actually is and what needs to be repaire/replaced. Obviously you are not experienced enough to make that determination. Seek some hands on help.

    You know reipan, i really didn't say that the abs sensor was your problem! YOU need to read the answer from the other post! In fact read the whole thing!!
