1990 Chevrolet Blazer Question: How do i get the hose on steering gear box to stop leaking after new install?

 Rookie

I just replaced the steering gear box on my k5 blazer and the hose attached to the box is still leaking. Did i miss putting in a o ring or what. k-5 is an 1978

    the hose end has a flared fitting, the flare could be split and not sealing. Check the mating surface to make sure it is not damaged, or any debris in the way.

    Can you move the line at the flare nut back and forth? If so may be cross threaded and just seems to be tight.
