Question: How do I get the check engine light to shut off

I replaced the engine sensor that the computer said was bad but I want to shut of the check engine light how do I do this

    You need to recheck the code, verify it, then use a scantool to erase the code drive the car through its drive cycle and verify light stays out (computer sees no other fault). Disconnecting the battery will erase the code but may loose radio and other systems that use "keep alive memory."
