Question: how do i fix the engine code po 700 and po 138 on my chrysler concorde

when i cycle key 3 times to access codes i get a po 700 and po138 are these related or two seperate problems? this is on my 2002 chrysler concorde 3.5 motor engine M. I also have to shut off car and restart the car at lights or stop signs so it will not be stuck in low gear while driving otherwise the engine will be running at a high rpm while driving.

    700 is a trans code. you have some sort of malfunction and need to have a shop check it for you. it goes into limp mode when it is in 1 gear.
    the 138 is an o2 code. get them both checked when you have a shop check it for you.
    no, they are not related.

    Customer Concern: MIL on and code P0700 in the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
    Tests/Procedures: 1. This code means that there is a trouble code stored in the Transmission Control Module (TCM) and the TCM requests the MIL be turned on.

    2. Use a scan tool check for codes in the TCM.

    You will not be able to retrieve TCM codes with a generic code reader. You will have to use a full enhanced scanner. Most likely it is the trans solenoid pack. As to the P0138 do this.

    Tests/Procedures: 1. Refer to TSB 18-031-02. The TSB refers to reflashing the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
