Question: How do I disconnect the quick connect fitting in my fuel line?

My Haynes manual shows a diagram of the fuel line and disconnect fitting, but doesn't give any hint how to disconnect it. It shows a line labeled "disconnect tool" but I can't tell what that is or how to proceed.

You may need a special tool that is for "quick disconnect fuel line" any auto parts house should have the tool (Google Lisle tool Lisle Manufacturing L37000 about $10).
The tool is slid over the metal fuel line pushed in toward the filter body which then releases the internal securing clip that attaches the fuel line to the filter.

Thank you. You would think the manual would mention that. I guess I'm going shopping for tool.
