You must start with the engine/transmission cold. Locate the set screw in the middle of the drain on the bottom of the trans pan. Start and run the engine until the transmission is at F 100 degrees. Remove the set screw from the drain plug and if the level is correct, fluid will drip rapidly from the opening. If it does, put the screw back in immediately. The engine must be running while you do this. Generally, you should use a scanner to monitor the transmission oil temperature. It does not take long for the temperature to rise to this temperature and you only have about 10 minutes after it warms up to accomplish this task.
