Question: how do i check auto Trans fluid level

no dip stick, only red cap above bell housing. manual says take to saturn to check.

    It is checked the "old fashioned" way. With the car on level ground: crawl under the car; remove the auto tranaxle vent/plug; the trans oil should just weep out of the hole.

    This information comes from Chilton's Saturn L-Series 2000-2004 Repair Manual (No. 62370) pages 1-24 & 1-25.
