Question: how do i change the gear shift cable

 Rookie

the car just started to only go in reverse. i pulled the old cable off and replaced it but its not in the right gears. drive seems to be in 2nd.

    I would go to www.alldatdiy.com and get the procedure from there, it will also have pictures, which are helpful, at least to me, I use the Pro version of Alldata for removing and installing components when I am not sure. It is basically a reprint of the factory manuals.
