Question: How do I change the fuel filter on my 2004 Canyon 2.8L 4 cylinder?

How are the clips removed from the current filter and how are the new ones replaced? Do they pop off? How do I open them to remove the filter?

    You may need a special tool that is for "quick disconnect fuel line" any auto parts house should have the tool (Google Lisle tool Lisle Manufacturing L37000 about $15).I think these are the tools required work for most Ford Chrysler and GMC.

    There is a tool that releases the clips on the fuel line going into the fuel filter. Be sure to release the fuel pressure before taking the clips off.
