Question: How do I change the battery cable

How do I change both negative and positive battery cables? I replaced the battery and when I cleaned the connectors, I twicked and almost broke the connectors. I need to replace the cables. I have already started, but I have gotten to a electrical connector that I have no idea how to disconnect. I need help on how to completely disconnect the battery cables and every connector on the cables.

    You can get universal battery terminals for few $, they are really easy to replace and you might be able to save the cables.
