for the 2.4L LE and BE PT Cruisers, the first thing you need to do is remove the air filter housing by un-clipping it. the tricky part is that the battery is held down by a clamp that requires you to remove the main electrical box and base. it looks harder than it is because it is simply two rubber grommets anchored to a metal plate. you can reach your hand underneath and feel for them, then push them upward through the anchor holes to release the base. you will see the clamp that holds the battery in place, just remove the two bolts that are holding it down and replace the battery with a new on and reverse the procedure. hope this was helpful, i spent almost 1.5 hours figuring it out
