The cam sensor will NOT cause a no start condition. Have you checked fuel pressure, spark or timing?

Really I was told that the camshaft sensor an crankshaft sensor would cause no start but anyway I don't know much about cars trying to learn but I can tell you when it lost all power I pulled over and the ECM light came on and it wont start back but the fuel pressure is fine an if it was the timing wouldn't the belt look messed up

the camshaft sensor should bolt and into the valve cover on top or side
