My camry has had regular tranny flushes by the dealer. Now with 128,000 miles it occasionally downhifts hard with a slight bang before coming to a stop. What could be the problem and how would it be repaired?

I saw your post on my other site, 2 car pros.

your is too old for an update for this. it is not a software issue, it is a valve body issue. you need a trans shop to check it for you. it may a simple fix.

After some research, this problem might be attributed to the line pressure solenoid. What's your thought? Someone else said the strainer is at fault. The flushes done by the dealer I was told would also clean up the strainer.
