Question: How can I tell if a spark plug is not firing?

I'm not sure if one of my spark plug wires is a little loose.

  If the spark plug is not firing the engine will run rough (be running on 5 cylinders) as that cylinder would not be contributing,a misfire is usually most noticeable at idle. It would bring on a Check Engine Light for misfire.
