Question: How can I put off my check engine light?

My check engine light can on for the first time after the tank was properly close.

    go to auto zone and have codes read for free and post or have them clear them if it was a gas cap issue

    Hi everyone, thank you for your assistance on my 'check engine light'. Incidentally, my KIA Sorento check engine light came off automatically. I guess it has something to do with the proper closing of the fuel tank lid which is mentioned in the car manual. So I have been personally monitoring and supervising the opening and closing of the fuel tank lid whenever I buy fuel from any gas station.
