Many cars have rear windows that only roll half way down. The reason for that is the shape of the door itself. The rear doors curve around the rear wheel opening making the lower section of the door much smaller than the upper section. When you roll the window down into the door it must have someplace to go. The window can only go down as far as the shape of the door will allow.
