My air condition has gone every year and it just needed freon. This year it just cycles thru and my compressor goes on and off. I have ac for a little bit and then it just goes. I and my mechanic cannot find any leaks at all and I have not had ac all tear. My mechanic cannot figure it out.

Bring it to perhaps a better equipped shop for handling A/C issues. If your losing refrigerant you obviously have a leak. If it's not a leak than you have a restriction or other problem in the system .No mechanic knows it all (though some think they do). Maybe your mech. can refer you to someone in the business that he thinks might have a better shot at diagnosing it.

I have 2 mechanics that have looked @ it and the one thinks its the high pressure valve. I am going 2 have that replaced and if that doesn't work I will put a new compressor in. I don't want 2 have 2 take it 2 someone I don't know or trust. I think the bill will b outragous, does anyone know of a reputable shop in my area?
