A honk, hiss, or groan noise may be noted from the steering during low speed parking lot maneuvers. Our technicians tell us that replacing the power steering return hose may correct this concern, If it does not the steering rack and pinion may require replacement.

steering has grinding when turning and even just when the car is running and it gets so loud you cannot even hear the radio. I took this to two different garages and its so difficult to get to the leaking -the power steering hoses that they feel they have to replace the whole rack in pinion. The car has 57000 miles and has been only on the interstate driving since I bought it last January 2012. Its now 4 years old so no warranty of course.
