Honda Insight Questions
My 2012 Insight along with may others appears to be consuming oil at an alarming rate and the "Check Emissions System light has come on. The car has 61,000 miles. Could this be covered by the California 10 year 150,000 warranty for emissions since my car is a CARB certified PZEV? I also hav...
I have a 2008 Honda Accord Sedan with 47,000 miles. I have read online that this seems to be an issue and the ABS Modulator needs replaced at costs of $1000-$1500. Also VSA controle module may need replaced as well and that costs additional. Spoke to Honda and this item is a recall on other 2008 ...
Honda Insight Recalls
Honda has recalled 2006 Accord, Civic, CR-V, Element, Insight, Odyssey, Pilot, Ridgeline, Acura MDX, RL, RSX, TL, TSX, and 2007 Honda Fit vehicles because the contact information for the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is listed incorrectly in the owner's manual. Honda is contacting dealers and customers to provide them with a postcard containing the correct information.
Honda recalled certain 2000-2002 Civic and Insight vehicles due to a low beam headlight issue. On affected models, the low beam terminal on the headlight switch wiring harness could overheat, causing the loss of low beam headlight function. Low beam head lamps that fail to operate can lead to a higher risk of a crash. Dealers will inspect the headlight switch and wiring connector for signs of heat damage. If damage is present, the dealer will replace the switch and wiring connector. If no damage is present, the dealer will replace the headlight switch and one of the terminal pins in the wiring connector.

In order to buy the car, I went to the Honda's Agent, at that time, present in my city, after ...
Have a little over 60k miles after 2 years and we bought it new December 2012. Great gas mileage and I find it fun to drive. Short wife drives it mostly ... a little small for me, I am 6'4" and very fat. But I still love this car. Only regular maintenance done with exception of an oil pressure switch replacement at 60K which I frankly think should not have happened. I do pamper the cvt changing...
